We Value Service

Service is the foundation of our company.  We service what we sell (plus some of the other brands too).  To help our customers avoid costly downtime, our experienced technicians cover Central & Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, and portions of Oregon.  Our technicians can come to your site, or you may bring your equipment to one of our local service centers.

Plus, our service department is backed by the largest inventory of waste oil heater parts in the Northwest.  Parts are also available to our customers for will call or next day parcel delivery.

Things We Consider Before You Purchase

There are a couple of sayings we use often at Northstar, ‘You don’t know what you don’t know…” and “Experience Northstar Experience”.

Over the last 45 years, Northstar has sold and installed hundreds of waste oil heaters throughout the Inland Northwest.  We are frequently called on for recommendations.

In order to make the correct recommendation, our product specialists, like a good doctor, will ask questions to help you decide if a waste oil heater is a good fit for your application.  One of the goals of our questions is to identify the building, installation or fuel variables you never thought could negatively affect a waste oil heater’s performance and operational reliability.

What is the cubic footage of the area heated?  How well is the building insulated?  What is the average coldest outside temperature? Are  commonly advertised questions.

But to assure long-term satisfaction, proper heater performance and low cost of ownership, there are additional site-specific variables that should be considerd: How much oil do you produce annually?  What is the elevation of your location?  What is the size and location of the oil storage tank?  Where will the furnace be located?  Where will the chimney be located?  What is the chimney design?  What type of roof do you have?  Is there an attic?  Are there exhaust fans in the building?  Etc…

To assure your satisfaction, it is only after your site-specific variables are addressed that we can make an accurate recommendation.  After all, a prescription without diagnosis is malpractice, isn’t it?

Repair & Maintenance Services

Show Your Waste Oil Heater Some Love.  Now that you have an operational waste oil heater that will save you thousands of dollars, it is not enough to set it and forget it.  While a Clean Energy Waste Oil Heater is exceptionally easy to maintain, it’s important to complete regular maintenance to ensure the best heating performance and cost-effectiveness.

With a Clean Energy Waste Oil Heater, you can expect to clean the oil canister filter screen and the pump head screen once per year.   It is also good practice to replace the burner nozzle annually as well.  Depending on your fuel quality, plan to clean the ash from the heat exchanger every 1,200 hours and clean the nozzle adapter heat block after 2,000 to 3,000 hours.

To help save you time and make your waste oil heater maintenance a breeze, the service department at Northstar Clean Concepts offers on-site waste oil heater service and scheduled maintenance plans.

As an alternative to on-site service, if you prefer to clean out your own heat exchanger, you are welcome to UPS or drop off your burner at one of our service centers.  Our in-house techs will service the burner, and test fire it on our test cabinet before scheduling pick up or return by UPS.

If you prefer to perform your own maintenance, our parts specialists are available to help you identify the parts you need and place them on will call for pick up or ship them to you.
